Congratulations! You've completed the tutorial on using significant figures. Now you know how to figure out how many significant figures a number has, and how many significant figures you can report when you calculate an answer by multiplying, dividing, adding or subtracting numbers.

But the most important things you should take away from this don't have any equal signs in them. They are:

1. Your final answer is only as good as your WORST data

2. You can't make BAD data into GOOD data by adding MORE data!

So the best time to worry about significant figures is BEFORE you gather the data - because once you make one imprecise measurement, your final answer will never be any more precise than that one piece of data.

Gather precise data in the first place to avoid this problem!
